The Artist’s Story in Color & Form

Dorinda, a dedicated educator and accomplished artist, hails from the picturesque town of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Growing up surrounded by the rich culture of the arts, she discovered her passion for creativity at an early age. In high school, Dorinda found her place in the orchestra, honing her musical talents and nurturing her artistic spirit.

Fueling her desire to pursue a career in the fine arts, Dorinda enrolled at Tulsa Junior College, where she delved into a comprehensive study of various artistic disciplines. Driven by her unwavering commitment, she furthered her education at Oklahoma State University, following in her mother's footsteps as she delved deeper into the world of arts. At Oklahoma State University, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, acquiring a solid foundation in her chosen field.

Seeking to expand her knowledge and refine her skills, Dorinda embarked on a transformative journey at the University of Tulsa, where she obtained her Master's degree. Her dedication to teaching and sharing her passion with others led her to attain certification to teach art to students of all ages, from kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as those in their first two years of college.

For the past two decades, Dorinda has been a pillar of inspiration and creativity at Central Middle/High School, where she currently imparts her extensive expertise to aspiring young artists. Her commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment has left an indelible impact on countless students throughout her tenure. With a wealth of experience and a profound love for her craft, Dorinda continues to ignite the artistic spark within her students, encouraging them to explore their potential and pursue their dreams in the world of fine arts.
